Tang to Qing Dynasty, fourteen centuries of Chinese art, an amazing time span. China has given the world some great art from the early bronze age: sculpture, furniture, paintings, jade carving and porcelain manufacture. It is a sobering thought that the West could not make porcelain until the eighteenth century. With this blog, I have selected what I believe to be excellent examples of several periods: Tang pottery, Ming and Qing porcelain wares.

You bowl is beautiful but the foot is different from the one I saw from sotheby site which is covered with white layer and it look smoother. I wonder if the difference will determine the age of the bowl. What do you think? Thanks.
